Empowering Students Beyond Academics

The Mahavidyalaya provides various facilities to support both male and female students, focusing on financial aid and special services. Scholarships are available for eligible students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, including those from backward castes, scheduled castes, and scheduled tribes, through the Welfare Department of the Jharkhand Government.

The Mahavidyalaya also promotes community development through its National Service Scheme (N.S.S.), which organizes tree planting and environmental protection efforts on unused urban and rural plots. The N.S.S. conducts camps in villages, educating locals on topics such as cleanliness, cooperation, and self-reliance. Additionally, students can avail concessional tickets for travel during long vacations or for attending interviews, courtesy of the Indian Railways. To enhance knowledge, the Mahavidyalaya hosts weekly seminars on various subjects. Sports activities, competitions, and physical development programs are regularly organized. Furthermore, the Mahavidyalaya offers both regular and distance education options for undergraduate, postgraduate, and vocational courses. A bus service is also available for student transportation at a nominal charge.

Student Bus Service

This is the only Mahavidyalaya in the city that provides a dedicated bus service (for a nominal fee) to ensure safe and convenient student transportation.

महाविद्यालय में योग्य निर्धन, पिछड़ी जाति, अनुसुचित जाति एवं अनुसूचित जनजाति के छात्र/छात्राओं के लिए कल्याण विभाग, झारखण्ड सरकार द्वारा दी जानेवाली छात्रवृत्ति की सुविधा भी उपलब्ध है।
शहरी एवं ग्रामीण विकास में सहभागिता हेतु राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना (N.S.S.) की इकाई गठित है जिसके माध्यम से पड़ोसी ग्रामीण एवं शहरी अनुपयोगी भू-खण्डों पर वृक्षारोपण एवं पर्यायवरण सुरक्षा हेतु महाविद्यालय की ओर से तत्परता बरती जाती है। गाँव-गाँव में राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना की ओर से शिविर लगाकर ग्रामीणों में शिक्षा, सफाई सहयोग एवं आत्मनिर्भरता की व्यवहारिक शिक्षा दी जाती है।
लम्बी छुट्टियों में तथा साक्षात्कार में उपस्थित होने के लिए छात्र-छात्राओं को घर अथवा किसी दर्शनीय स्थान की यात्रा के लिए भारतीय रेल द्वारा प्रदत्त रियायती दर पर टिकट दिलाने के लिए रियायती फार्म की सुविधा भी उपलब्ध है।
छात्र-छात्राओं एवं शिक्षकों को ज्ञान- वार्धस्य की दृष्टि से प्रत्येक शनिवार क्रमिक रूप से विभिन्न विषयों पर सेमिनार का आयोजन किया जाता है।
महाविद्यालय छात्र-छात्राओं के क्रीड़ा अन्य अभिरूचियों के परिस्कार एवं सम्यक् शारीरिक विकास हेतु खेलों का अभ्यास एवं समय-समय पर उनकी प्रतियोगिताएँ आयोजित की जाती है।
स्नातक (Graduation), स्नातकोत्तर (Post Graduation) एवं व्यवसायिक कोर्स (Vocational Course) के इच्छुक छात्र-छात्राओं के लिए नियमित एवं दूरस्थ शिक्षा की सुविधा उपलब्ध है।
यह शहर का एक मात्र महाविद्यालय है जहाँ छात्र-छात्राओं के आवागमन के लिए बस की सुविधा (स शुल्क) उपलब्ध है।
