Code of Conduct & Discipline

Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment. At Sohan Lal Arya Mahavidyalaya, we believe that a structured, respectful, and safe environment is essential for academic excellence and holistic development. All students are expected to strictly adhere to the following rules.

Code of Conduct

General Discipline

  • Students must carry their valid College Identity Card at all times within the campus.
  • Proper and decent attire must be worn. If a uniform is prescribed, it is strictly mandatory.
  • Loitering in the corridors during class hours is strictly prohibited.
  • Respectful behavior towards faculty, staff, and fellow students is non-negotiable.

Attendance Policy

  • A minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory in all theory and practical classes.
  • Students failing to meet the attendance criteria will not be allowed to appear in University/Council examinations.
  • Leave applications must be submitted in advance to the respective Head of Department.
  • Continuous absence without notice may result in the striking off of the student's name from the rolls.

Campus Environment

  • The campus is a strictly No-Smoking and Tobacco-Free zone.
  • Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited inside classrooms, laboratories, and the library.
  • Any damage to college property will incur severe disciplinary action and financial recovery from the student.
  • Students must maintain cleanliness and use dustbins provided across the campus.

Examination Rules

  • Appearing in internal periodic examinations is mandatory for all students.
  • Admit cards and ID cards are required to enter the examination hall.
  • Use of unfair means or malpractices during exams will result in immediate suspension and disciplinary proceedings.

Zero Tolerance to Ragging

Ragging in any form is a punishable criminal offense under the law and UGC guidelines. Any student found guilty of ragging or abetting ragging will face immediate expulsion from the Mahavidyalaya, cancellation of admission, and an FIR will be lodged with the local police. We are committed to a safe, fear-free campus.

महाविद्यालय के मुख्य नियम एवं अनुशासन

  • महाविद्यालय परिसर में सभी छात्र-छात्राओं को अपना परिचय पत्र (ID Card) साथ रखना अनिवार्य है।
  • कक्षाओं (Theory & Practical) में 75% उपस्थिति अनिवार्य है। इसके अभाव में परीक्षा प्रपत्र (Exam Form) भरने की अनुमति नहीं दी जाएगी।
  • महाविद्यालय परिसर में मोबाइल फोन का उपयोग कक्षाओं, पुस्तकालय और प्रयोगशाला में पूर्णतः वर्जित है।
  • महाविद्यालय की संपत्ति को नुकसान पहुँचाना एक दंडनीय अपराध है, जिसके लिए जुर्माना वसूला जाएगा।
  • परिसर में किसी भी प्रकार का नशा (तंबाकू, गुटखा आदि) पूर्णतः प्रतिबंधित है।
  • रैगिंग (Ragging) एक गंभीर अपराध है। रैगिंग करते हुए पाए जाने पर छात्र का नामांकन तत्काल रद्द कर दिया जाएगा और कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
